Alison’s artistic practice is informed by memory – living recollections, archival material and places.  Through her art she seeks to explore the slippery nature of memory and the way in which our recall fades, alters and distorts our experiences. Using oil paint for her semi-abstract pieces, she moves the paint around the surface, obscuring some areas and blurring lines to reference the degradation caused by our imperfect memories.
